Centre Formation : |
|
The Council of Management of the Indian Water Works Association
may establish a Centre on receipt of a written request from an
Adhoc Committee formed by members of the Association from an
area which does not have a Centre. They should suggest under
intimation to the existing centre in precise terms the boundaries of
the proposed Centre, including at least one city or a large town.
The Centre shall be named after the city or the town.
For starting a Centre a minimum of fifty members and five
organization members residing in that area are necessary. In
case the geographical area of a proposed Centre is small, the
Council may permit opening a new Centre with a minimum of forty
members and four OM. The aims and objects of such a centre shall
be the same as that of the parent body and shall not be
different there from in any respect. The Centre when
established, shall make every effort to bring up the membership
to the normal level of fifty members and five OM, preferably in
one year from the date of opening of the Centre. |

SECTION 2.1

CENTRE BOUNDARIES : |

The geographical boundaries of the Centre shall be approved by
the Council of Management with or without modification. To meet
the needs of the members in this area as well as Centers
proposed later on, the Council of Management shall have powers
to amend the boundaries of the Centre. In doing so the COM will
consult concerned Centers. |

SECTION 2.2

EXTENSION OF BOUNDARIES : |
|
No Centre shall extend its activities beyond its geographical
boundaries, without previous consent of the Council of
Management, which sanction shall be given only after due
notification to the Centre or Centers. affected by such proposed
extension of activities and after full consideration of any
representation on the subject by such Centre or Centers. |
