The members of IWWA visited the Adarsh Village Patoda in District Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Maharashtra. A technical visit was conducted on 1st March 2026. During the visit, the pioneer and visionary leader Bhaskar Pere Patil explained the extraordinary development works carried out for the welfare and progress of the villagers.
A technical visit was conducted on 1st March 2026, to The Jayakwadi Irrigation Project at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. It is truly inspiring to see Team IWWA Amravati taking such proactive initiative by visiting the prestigious water supply project at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The ongoing 392 MLD Water Supply Scheme from the Godavari Dam, Paithan, is indeed a highly challenging and target-oriented project. The massive intake arrangement with 6 pumps of 3750 HP each reflects the scale and technical excellence involved in lifting water from the Godavari source.
On 26th July 2025, a one-day seminar on the topic "Smart Water Management" was organized at Abhiyanta Bhavan, Amravati. The event was graced by the presence of several dignitaries on the dais, including Hon. MLC of Amravati, Sanjayji Khodake; Er. Anand Jawanjal, Joint Secretary of IWWA and Chairman of the Maharashtra Centre; Er. Santoshi Gavankar, Chief Engineer of MJP; Dr. N. W. Ingole, Chairman of IWWA Amravati Centre; Er. Vivek Solanke, Secretary of IWWA Amravati Centre; Dr. Onkar Mukherjee, Chairman of IWWA Nagpur Centre; and Er. Ram Vighe, Secretary of IEI Amravati. The seminar featured four technical lectures delivered by distinguished speakers: Er. Biren Dalal (Ahmedabad), Er. Vikrant Joshi (Nagpur), Er. Amit Vaidya (Mumbai), and Er. Ravi Solanki (Delhi), covering various aspects of smart water management. The vote of thanks was delivered by Er. Pradeep Kolhe, Convener and CoM member of IWWA, along with Er. Narendra Shelke, Joint Secretary. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 attendees, including engineers from MJP, municipal engineers, consultants, contractors, and engineering college students. Er. Arvind Mokdam, CoM member, was also prominently present at the event.
Theme: Combating Plastic Pollution - The Institution of Engineers (India), Amravati Local Centre, in association with the Indian Water Works Association, Amravati, organized a celebration of World Environment Day focusing on the theme “Combating Plastic Pollution.” The event was graced by esteemed guests:- Guest of Honour: Er. Anand Jawanjal, Keynote Speaker: Er. Pravin Khandve. The program was meticulously organized by the Managing Committee members of IE(I) Amravati Local Centre under the leadership and guidance of Chairman Er. Sunil Rathi. The celebration aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and to promote sustainable practices in combating plastic pollution.
