Celebration of World Environment Day on 5th June, 2025

World Water Day was celebrated by the IWWA Raipur Chapter, Chhattisgarh, at Amali village in the Dhamtari district. The Mahanadi River is the lifeline of Chhattisgarh. A rejuvenation program has been initiated for a 30 km stretch starting from the origin of the Mahanadi River. This program is named "MAA" – Mahanadi Awakening Abhiyan. Under the guidance of the esteemed President Dr. M.L. Agrawal, the Raipur Chapter decided to clean an 800-meter stretch of the river at Amali village, which is the fourth village from the origin point, i.e., the Kund. The river cleaning and plantation program was conducted in the presence of respected Shri A.K. Sahu and the staff of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Dhamtari Division.

Celebration of World Water Day by Raipur Centre

A program was organized in Raipur on the occasion of World Water Day under the banner of the Indian Water Works Association, Raipur Center. The program was attended by SE PHED, Kailash Madhariya, EE Dhamtari Ashalata Gupta, AE Raipur Rukmani Singh, sub-engineers, state chemist, district chemist, and other staff. The speaker emphasized the consumption of water, the importance of saving water, the concept of recharge structures, and climate change. The theme of World Water Day, "Glacier Preservation," was discussed on the forum. After the program, a plantation drive was organized to protect nature and the environment.

57th Annual Convention Invitation to Hon. Dy Chief Minister Chhattisgarh

IWWA team Raipur Centre invited Shri Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh to Chair the inaugural Session of 57th Annual Convention of IWWA at Raipur. Hon Deputy CM has given his consent and directed to provide all necessary help during convention. Shri SN Pandey, Add MD JJM and SE, Shri Kailash Madari EE, Shri Rajesh Gupta CE, Shri Samir Goud SE and Shri RK Shukla EE with Shri Arun Sao, Hon Deputy CM.
