World Water and Holi Milan Samaaroh

The Prayagraj Centre of Indian Water Works Association in association with Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam organised Holi Milan Samaroh and World Water Day 2026 in The Conference Hall of UP Jal Nigam. Er. N K Pandey Retd Chief Engineer UP Jal Nigam was Chief Guest of the event and the program was presided over by Er. ..... Singh. The program was began with lighting of lamp by Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Er. G. C. Dubey, Chairman, IWWA Prayagraj Centre welcomed the dignitaries and participants. Er. R K. Singh Chauhan briefed about the event and conducted the program. Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Srivastava delivered the expert lecture on the topic "Self Curing Concrete - A tool of Sustainable Construction to reduce water demand". He explained mechanism, advantage, limitations and suitability of Self Curing Concrete to reduce water demand to support the women and the lecture was very informative. Prof. (Dr.) R. C. Vaishya delivered the expert lecture on the topic "Operation and Maintenance of STPs and WTPs". He emphasized on safety audit and preventive maintenance of plants and presentation was interactive. More than 60 persons from different organizations were attended the event. The program was ended with Lunch.

Celebration of World Environment Day on 5th June, 2025

On the occasion of World Environment Day, dated 5th June 2025, a tree plantation and awareness rally was organized at the Sangam area under the aegis of the Indian Water Works Association, Prayagraj Centre, based on the theme "Beat Plastic Pollution." The event was held in the gracious presence of Er. C.K. Tyagi, Director (Administration), IWWA.

Celebration of Engineers Day on 15th Sep, 2023

The Indian Water Works Association, Prayagraj Centre organised Annual General Meeting and Engineers Day on September 23rd, 2023 in U P Jal Nigam Training Centre near Sangam Area. The Chief Guest of this Function was Er V P Singh and whole event was presided over by Er G C Dubey, Chairman, IWWA, Prayagraj Centre. Speaking on this occasion Er V P Singh has emphasized for delivering project with all quality control parameters. If we inculcate quality in all aspect of construction like design, construction and supervision then our projects will sustain in long term for betterment of society. Our third party investigation must be strong enough to take care of all quality aspects during construction itself. He also emphasized for strengthening hands of engineers with proper training and augmentation of knowledge. Er G C Dubey asked all members present in the hall to go for membership drive and create awareness for conservation of water. Dr Vikas Srivastava, and Dr Sunil K Gupta, members, IWWA, Prayagraj also presented their views on sustainability issues. Prof. R. C. Vaishya, Hon. Secretary, IWWA Prayagraj proposed vote of thanks to all members and staff of Jal Nigam for making good arrangements.
