The World Environment Day 2026 Celebration was organized by IWWA, Kerala Centre, in association with the Association of Public Health Engineers Kerala (APHEK), on an online platform. Dr. Veena Srinivasan, Executive Director, WELL Labs, Bangalore, delivered the Key Note Address on the topic "The path to Circularity for Indian Cities".
The National President of the Indian Water Works Association (IWWA) visited the Kerala Centre on Saturday, 21st June 2025. During the visit, he toured the Aqua Tower building, which is jointly owned by IWWA Kerala Centre and APHEK. He was accompanied by Er. Solomon Fernandez, the State Chairman of IWWA. During the visit, an action plan to activate the centre was discussed, and a decision was made to explore the possibility of starting a second IWWA Centre in Cochin. The Hon'ble President spent the entire day discussing various organisational and technical matters. The Kerala Centre expresses its sincere gratitude to the Hon'ble President for his visit. As decided, a programme will be organised to activate the centre, and Dr. Aggarwal has agreed to attend the function.
