World Environment Day celebration on

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, in association with the Institution of Engineers (INDIA) Mysore local center, along with Department of Environmental Engineering SJCE Mysuru and IWWA Mysuru Centre, KUWS & D Board a quiz was organised on 08.06.2026 with students of SJCE, followed by a reel-making contest with topics a) Beat plastic pollution, b) if trees could talk, c) A day without nature. Further, the celebration was followed with seminar on " The global theme for the year 2026 " Inspired by Nature—for climate- for our future" by Dr. D.Ravishankar, Prof of Practice, Department of Environmental Engineering, SJCE, Mysuru and on "Rainfall statistics and prediction of rainfall " by Prof. Kumuda Mayur, MSc, PhD, Bharathi College Post Graduate & Research Center, Founder-Statement Innovation LLP, Mandya.

Visit of Dr. M. L. Agrawal, President IWWA to Mysuru Centre

Dr. M. L. Agrawal, President of IWWA, visited the Mysuru Centre on Tuesday, 24th June 2025. This was the 13th visit among the 36 IWWA Centres. He discussed the action plan to activate the centre and also suggested organizing an IWWA conference in Mysuru. Additionally, he recommended that membership should not be limited only to engineers and that a large number of members should be added. He also emphasized that the Mysuru Centre should have its own IWWA building. The Hon’ble President engaged in discussions on various organizational and technical topics throughout the day. The Mysuru Centre extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble President for his visit.
