Report on World Environment Day Celebration – 5 June 2026
World Environment Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at MITCSN Campus. The programme was graced by Er. Manisha Palande, President, IWWA, and Dr. Munish Sharma, Director General, MITCSN, along with members of IWWA, faculty members, students, and environmental enthusiasts. The highlight of the event was an expert lecture delivered by Dr. Nitin Mukadam on the theme: "Nature for Climate for Our Future" In his address, Dr. Mukadam emphasized the importance of nature-based solutions in addressing climate change and achieving sustainable development. He highlighted the need for collective efforts towards environmental conservation, water resource management, biodiversity protection, and climate resilience. The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing and awareness creation regarding environmental protection and climate action. Participants expressed their commitment towards building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective pledge to promote environmental stewardship through individual and community initiatives.
